Measurements

Relax. You're going to get something wrong, and that's fine.

Every suit we make comes with a promise: if it doesn't fit, we pay your local tailor or we make you another one. Nobody gets held to a bad measurement. About twenty-five minutes, the same set we take in the showroom. Grab a tape, grab a friend, and let's get you dressed.

What you'll need

  • A soft tape measure. The sewing-kit kind. Centimeters or inches; pick which below.
  • A friend to hold the tape. You can't measure your own back. Anyone who can read a number out loud will do.
  • Three small squares of masking tape and a pen. One goes on the back of your neck, one on each shoulder. Most of the upper-body numbers start or end on them.
  • A fitted shirt, trousers with no belt, and the shoes you'll wear with the suit. No jacket. Pockets empty.
  • A hard chair. A kitchen chair, no cushion. A few numbers are taken sitting down.
  • A metal tape measure, if you have one. The toolbox kind, for the floor-to-waistband leg length and the optional shoulder heights.

The only rules

  • Stand normally. Feet apart, arms hanging, looking ahead, breathing like a person. Not at attention.
  • Snug, not tight. The tape touches you all the way round without digging in. We add the room a suit needs.
  • Level. For anything that goes all the way round, your friend checks the back is at the same height as the front.
  • Both sides where we ask. Left and right are rarely the same, and that's useful to know.

Units

Then

You did the hard part. From here it's ours: we check, we cut, we ship. If it's not right, we fix it, refund your local tailor, or start over, whichever it takes. We're trying to build something people come back to, and that doesn't happen by holding a man to a number he took in his kitchen.

Blanks are fine. Anything that looks off gets a note, never a block; we'll follow up before anything is cut.

Cut a garment

Tell us what to make.

Pick the cut and the pieces, then the details in plain words. We take it from there: we check your numbers, quote the price, and send you the deposit link before anything is cut.

1. The cut

Shirts are always cut to measure, whichever cut you pick for the suit.

2. The piecesOne garment per order. Shirts can ride along with any of them. The standard choices are picked for you; change anything you like.
Anything else
Then

We look at every number against the pieces you've picked, quote you the price for the cloth and the make, and send the deposit link. Nothing is cut until you've said yes to both. You'll see each step in your wardrobe.

No payment here. The quote and the deposit link come from us, by email, after we've checked your measurements.
